150 gramsPaneer
300 grams spinach leaves(palak)
2 tbsp coriander powder
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp garam masala powder
1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
2 green chilies
1 tbsp red chili powder
2 cloves garlic
1 large onion
1/2 inch ginger piece
oil for frying the paneer
salt as required
METHOD:
- Clean the spinach leaves and chop them finely.
- Cut the paneer into 1 inch cubes and fry them in oil.
- Heat some water and cook the spinach leaves in it.
- Chop the onion and heat 2 tbsp of butter and saute it until golden brown.
- Blend the spinach,green chilies,onion,ginger and garlic into a smooth paste.
- Heat the remaining butter in a pan and add the spinach mixture to this.
- Allow the mixture to boil and add the red chili powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder,turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
- When the mixture boils, add the fried paneer and continue heating it on a low flame for 2-3 minutes.
- Palak Paneer is ready!! serve it hot with rotis, pulkas.
